In an unusual phenomenon, the Bus trailer became one of the most-watched Peruvian trailers of 2025 on TikTok with 4.3 million organic views, surpassing trailers of Peruvian studio feature films set to be released this year. This figure was achieved from the director's personal account, without any advertising budget. It has resonated deeply with people's experiences on public transport in Lima.

Andre Balbuena
director & writer
André Balbuena is a film director, screenwriter, and editor from Lima, Peru. He made his directorial debut with the musical short film Una primera cita (A First Date) in 2019, which won Best Sound at a local film festival and was screened at three other national festivals. During his university years, he also directed Una buena abogada (A Good Lawyer) in 2018, a short film adapted from a micro-theater play, which was selected for a national film festival and has now surpassed 200,000 views on YouTube.
Jorge Constantino
producer
Jorge Constantino has produced different film projects that have achieved awards from Peru’s Ministry of Culture, the Ibermedia Program, and have been featured in various festivals, forums and laboratories. With his production company Mestizo Studios, he co-produced the film Raíz (Through Rocks and Clouds), that premiered at the Berlinale 2024, which received a special mention from the jury in the Generation Kplus category, in addition to being selected in more than 50 festivals, including notable ones like Locarno Open Doors, Seattle, Cartagena, Sanfic, Lima, Biarritz, among others.

Gabriel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication with over 9 years of experience in video editing and post-production, having worked in production companies, advertising agencies, and government institutions. Aditionally, he has worked as Post-Production Coordinator for the feature film ¡Asu Mare! Los amigos, as well as Post-Producer and VFX Artist for Quién Dijo Detox and the short films Bus and Espejo del Valle.
Giovanni Rossi
Sound Design
Giovanni Rossi has worked as a post-producer and recording and mixing engineer for the soundtracks of films and series such as How To Get Over A Breakup, ¡Asu Mare! Los amigos, Dime lo que quieres (de verdad), Un día eres joven, Intercambiadas, Rómulo y Julita, Función velorio, Raúl con Soledad, Aislados, Cupido, Miitín, among others.

Among Carlos’ most notable works is the documentary short film Vainilla y Coco, which was selected at the Houston Latino Film Festival (USA). He also worked as director of photography on the short film Sara, which screened at Odense International Film Festival (Denmark) and the Norwegian Short Film Festival (Norway). Additionally, he served as director of photography for the short film Emma no sonríe, winner of the Best Short Film Award at Semana del Cine (Peru).
Cynthia Rodriguez
Production design
Licensed architect from Ricardo Palma University, with additional studies at the International Film and Television School (EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, where she completed the Advanced Workshop in Art Direction. In recent years, she has worked as an art director and production designer for feature films such as Delivery Girl, short films, music videos, and television commercials.
